FINAL LINEUP ANNOUNCED.

Essence 2026 just got heavier, stranger and more complete.

The Amenta join the final lineup, alongside new additions Anocht, Saleeha & TVISB and Rodenticide.

They join a huge weekend of underground heavy, extreme and experimental music at The Baso in Belconnen. Featuring Suldusk, Halo of Teeth, Fuxache, Burial Pit, Darkhorse, Yanomamo, Abre Ojos, Bentham’s Head, Lucas “Granpa” Abela, Blood in the Champagne, Chief Whip, Making Out, THGHT CBNT and more.

Plus, Friday night brings Essentia Vermis, the pre-fest curated by Gutter Prince Cabal, featuring Horrisonous, Graveir, Stellar Remains, Reekmind and Gralloch.

Three days. One venue.

Heavy, dark, weird and loud in Canberra.

Plus: Essence is all ages with parent or guardian. But this year, for the first time, 12-and-unders can enter free of charge. We're proud to be cultivating the next generation of underground music lovers.
